Ballet Freaks-How I Got into the Academy of Ballet
Another critique was speaking about the teaching method in Academy of Ballet. Frankly could not agree with this critic as truly one of the best parts about this particular ballet academy is that the warm, friendly atmosphere that is nurture here. As a young pupil, not once did I sense scolded or verbally harassed by an educator (who, incidentally is a former leading competitor). This was an academy because 1977 and in my seven years as a pupil there have been very few incidents of this sort. The other positive thing about the location is the simple fact that many levels of dancers are catered for here, and that's just another thing I love about doing it.
I was asked to write a review and discuss my ideas on Zorya's ballet class. Initially I was reluctant to do this but I understood that when she was a great teacher then this could be a favourable inspection. In the end, it was a personal experience and that I thought it would be unfair to not place it in the start. So I started thinking about my expertise in the class and the way I liked the teacher.
Zorya brought up the name of her late father repeatedly when teaching in the academy and she clarified that this was something that he always encouraged her to perform. I was shot by his enthusiasm for his enthusiasm for helping young dancers develop their skills. When I had been taking classes at the academy under his tutelage, he was come into my ballet class just after I'd set out in my very first dance lesson and spent a few weeks with me. This proved to be a really special touch. In addition, he worked in his own classroom and invited me to take my studies seriously.
It had been obvious from the manner Zorya spoke of her parents, both of whom she had never fulfilled, that they were proud of her. They were equally warm helpful and encouraging and offered lots of support during my first few years in the academy. I liked spending some time with them and chatting to them on my dance life and their loved ones experiences. These new friends made a direct effect on me since I hadn't met any earlier in my dance courses. They coupled an engaging style of teaching using a genuinely caring attitude. Both of these qualities are truly a blessing and I am so grateful that Zorya along with her parents did the academy a fantastic service by giving me such fabulous new friends to spend some time with!
Another element of Zorya's personality, that I found very inspiring was her enthusiasm for the art form. The academy is well suited to providing opportunities for young dancers to develop their abilities and strategies. My expertise as a ballet student has instructed me that the real key to learning is having fun and loving teaching as far as performing. Zorya's reassuring words as she encouraged me to try different types of teaching and also the exciting way in which she encouraged me to try different teaching styles made it obvious for me that she adored her job and loved becoming an instructor.
What I found in her program for a teaching credential was that she had composed a narrative citation required to make an application for a teaching position at the academy. This story citation included her love of dancing and her desire to teach dancing. It was wonderful to read and incredibly descriptive of her nature and dancing. I found myself genuinely inspired by her story and her enthusiasm for dancing. It certainly made me think differently about dancers in general.
Additionally, I found it rather inspiring to see the academy provides courses for all ability levels. I was dismissed with this since, quite frankly, I Scenekunst have always felt a little intimidated by dancing classes. I'd have loved to know there was a means to advance from a beginner dancer into a newcomer and then the ladder up to the level of professional dancers. It's also nice to find that the academy encourages its dancers to sense and behave like professionals in their chosen area. In actuality, the only condition to join the academy is that a dance and a completed dance poll. No prior experience is necessary to register!
